Time Machines: Robots, Rockets and Steampunk Exhibition: The Shelburne Museum, Shelburne, VT June 16 - October 28

    NEWS

Outland's Steampunk Boba Fett and Darth Vader and The Steampunk TARDIS and Sonic Screwdriver are on display in the Shelburne Museum's Time Machines: Robots, Rockets and Steampunk Exhibition until October 28! Also featured in the exhibition are fantastic works by Tom Banwel, Mike Cochran, Steve Conant, Chris Conte, Benjamin S. Harvey, Brian Poor, Bruce Rosenbaum, Mark Eliot Schwabe, and Thomas Willeford, along with an impressive collection of toys and textiles, decorative, graphic and fine art representing the Golden Age of sci-fi – the 1930s-1950s. The Shelburne Museum is also the home of the 200 foot steamboat, the Ticonderoga. Built in 1906, it is America’s last remaining side-paddle-wheel passenger steamer with a vertical beam engine, and is absolutely amazing. In addition to the Time Machines Exhibit, the museum is exhibiting Lock, Stock and Barrel: The Terry Tyler Collection of Vermont Firearms. It consists of absolutely gorgeous guns of numerous kinds made from the 1790s to 1900, on public display for the first time ever.
